RBPT Antigen

RBPT Antigen

RBPT Antigen; Prepared from strain B. abortus S99, it is an antigen containing dead bacteria stained with ros bengal dye.

Composition:

Vetal RBPT Antigen; Prepared from strain B. abortus S99, it is an antigen containing dead bacteria stained with ros bengal dye.

Usage Area:

Vetal RBPT Antigen is used to detect specific antibodies to S (smooth) brucellosis (B. abortus, B. melitensis, B. suis) and as a screening test in the diagnosis of brucellosis. Since it has an acidic character, it reacts by inactivating IgMTeri and IgGTerte. Serum samples that are serologically positive should be confirmed by SAT and / or KFT or ELISA tests. Cross / nonspecific reactions can be seen with antibodies against some bacteria (such as Y. enterocolitica 09, some Salmonella spp .. E. coli spp.).

Method of Application:

  • After serum and Vetal RBPT Antigen are kept at room temperature for 10-15 minutes, 1 drop (30 µl) of Vetal RBPT Antigen is added to the slide, porcelain tiles or pit plate.
  • Serum sample to be tested 1 drop (30 µl) with the help of a pasteur pipette with 100 drops set to 3 µl. It is added to the same pit, away from the antigen.
  • Serum and antigen are mixed with a toothpick, an antigen + antibody reaction is tried to be formed with more or less rotations.
  • The result is evaluated within 4 minutes at the latest.

Evaluation:

Coarse-grained agglutination ++ positive

Small grain agglutination + positive

The homogeneous mixture (-) is considered negative.

Warning:

Vetal RBPT Antigen should be shaken before each use.

Disposal Conditions:

After being kept in autoclave for 30 minutes at 121 ° C, it is thrown into the septic tank. It is buried deep in the ground under field conditions.

Storage Conditions:

Vetal RBPT Antigen is stored in dark environment and at +2 ° C / + 8 ° C.

Packaging shape:

Packaged in 2.5 ml, 5 ml and 10 ml bottles with antigen dropper, toothpick and plastic plate, each drop of which is adjusted to 30 µl.
